News Article in Rocky Mount Telegram , April 16, 2006- The Rocky Mount Rockers U11 soccer team finished its 2005/2006 Challenge league season undefeated. After finishing first in the Down East Soccer Club league for the fall season with an 8-0 record, the Rockers completed the spring schedule on top again with seven wins and a tie. The team scored 34 goals over the spring matches, with the offensive punch coming from Moises Gonzalez, Ismael Rodriguez, Nick Westcott and Grimes Clark. The midfield support was provided by Adam Bayless, Jason Branan, Kevin Ramirez and Ford Jolley. The defense only allowed nine goals. Zach Conner and Tristan Stallings anchored the back line, while Drew Thompson recorded four shutouts in goal. The team will advance to the Classic level for the 2006/2007 season and will hold tryouts in May.
